There are no specific roles as all actors will be playing multi role, therefore there are no specific age requirements.

This tour is hard work.

We are looking for experienced professional male and female actor/musicians for our 41st year of touring. We are the only theatre company in the UK to tour by narrowboat.

Applicants must be versatile with an emphasis on comedy and regional accents, a strong northern accent is essential. We are looking for professionals who:

• Sing to a high standard.
• Have the ability to play at least one chordal musical instrument is essential.
• Additional instruments desirable.

This is a small-scale tour which requires actors to do get ins and get outs, drive a transit van and navigate a 72 foot narrowboat (full training will be given). Please clearly state in your covering letter if you drive or not. We’d also be interested to know if you have any boating experience.

We tour nationally on the waterways by narrowboat in the summer and by road, mainly in the Pennines, in the autumn.

Contract:	26th March 2012 – 20th October 2012 (Including fully paid holiday, in line with equity)
Fee:	£420.00 weekly fee with all tour related travel. Artistes are classed as self-employed and are fully responsible for all declarations necessary under statutory laws for Inland Revenue, National Insurance and Customs & Excise.
