The James Sykes Memorial Fund
The wonderful James Sykes passed away in 2017. He was a loyal Mikron supporter and devoted Chair of our board.
We miss him, his sage words and his friendly guiding presence.
We were honoured and humbled to learn that James had gifted Mikron £10,000 in his will. We were also grateful to receive more than £500 following a collection at James’ funeral.
The board of trustees would like to ensure that his legacy lives on, so they launched our James Sykes Memorial Fund. All future legacies and in-memory giving will go into this fund to help us navigate choppy waters and ensure that unforeseen problems don’t stop us in our tracks.
Since we launched the fund, over 100 Mikron supporters have either left gifts in their will or made a donation in memory of a Mikron fan.
To date the fund stands at nearly £75,000.

After you have looked after your friends, family and loved ones, please consider leaving a gift to Mikron in your will. Remembering Mikron will ensure that our unique theatre company continues for future generations to enjoy.
Many of our supporters have left gifts to us in their will. Previous legacies have enabled us to fund boat refurbishments, buy a new van and fund the core costs of our work across the country.
You can leave Mikron money, property or shares, as a fixed gift amount or a percentage of your estate. Even 1% can make a huge difference to us.

In-memory giving
Respecting and remembering a cherished relative is often a priority for family and friends. Many families choose to honour a family member by a gift to charity instead of sending funeral flowers. If enjoying Mikron was a part of their life, you could choose to make Mikron the beneficiary as a fitting tribute.
